In an announcement on November 19, Amazon cited the results of a recent study by consulting firm European House – Ambrosetti showing that Amazon has been the company that creates the most jobs in Italy over the past 10 years.

In the same announcement, Amazon said it invested a total of 2.9 billion euros ($3.3 billion) in Italy in 2020, an increase of more than 60% compared to 2019. The company has invested a total of 8 0.7 billion euros into Italy since it started operating there in 2010.
Amazon said it recorded 7.25 billion euros in revenue in 2020, up 61% from 4.5 billion euros in 2019.
